Repentance

REPENTANCE

Biblical repentance is a change in mindset, a return to God. .

A) What  is repentance?

Answer 1
God calls men to repent for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3: 23, Acts 17: 30).
Sin entered the world and has become universal only by the transgression of Adam (Romans 5: 12 and v 19). This original sin led to the moral and physical ruin of the breed.
The Bible also tells us that "there is none righteous, not one" (Romans 3: 10). Repentance therefore concerns all men.

Answer 2
In Acts 2: 37-38, some people asked Peter what to do to be saved because they had just received the word of God.
Peter's answer was, "Repent ...". Repentance is necessary for man to be saved (Acts 3: 19).

B) The steps of repentance:

The conviction of sin
In Psalm 51: 5-7, King David is deeply sorry for having offended God: the "conviction of sin." For us, only the Holy Spirit can produce that belief (John 16: 8). He pours into the heart of whomever He wants to win. This Godly sorrow "repentance to salvation not to spread ever ..." (2 Corinthians 7: 9-10).
Confession
Many men know they have done wrong, but they do not want to ask forgiveness from God (Proverbs 28: 13). We must not only recognize in our hearts that we have sinned but we must confess to our God and confess our sins and so he will forgive us (1 John 1: 9).
The abandonment of evil
True repentance produces disgust of sin and the abandonment of our evil inclinations. The abandonment of evil is a lifestyle change that produces in us the fruits worthy of repentance. (Luke 3: 8, Acts 26: 20).
The complete submission to God
The "real" repentance is effective if it is followed by faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 20: 21) as it can in no way, in itself, erase the sin. We must fully accept the Word of God we are submitting. This attitude will allow us to produce fruits worthy of repentance that reflects our change (Acts 26: 20).
Perseverance in the constant attitude of repentance:
While we are down here we will have progress to make, to win victories. The possibility of sin is always present and we are not immune to a faux pas. But we must be careful to remain holy! However if we fall into sin, we must repent before God (1 John 3: 1-16).
If we sin, the Holy Spirit is grieved (Ephesians 4: 30). That is why we must always ensure that they have this attitude of repentance when we sin so that we should not abide far from God.
What needs to be a devout Christian from a fault in his daily walk?
He must confess the sin immediately recognized and enter the purification offered by the blood of Jesus Christ shed at Calvary.
Christians no longer sin voluntarily. If we say have no sin we lie to ourselves (1 John 1: 8).
It is important to know that whatever the gravity of sin, Jesus gave on the cross for us, he came not to condemn us but to save us (Isaiah 53: 1-10).
If you confess your sins really putting your faith in Jesus, your sins will be completely erased (Micah 7: 18).
